DCEO soon to be captured!
“Africa doesn’t need strongmen, it needs strong institutions,” proclaimed President Barack Obama, in his speech to the Ghanaian parliament in 2009
According to Lesotho Times The Prime Minister, Dr. Thomas Thabane is intending to move DCEO into the prime minister’s office.
The Prime Minister is quoted as saying: “…I am moving the DCEO( Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences) into my( PM’s) offices so that I can monitor it myself and ensure that it(Dceo) discharges its mandate….”
Has the Prime Minister forgotten about the principle of separation of powers and checks and balances, which will definitely be compromised if DCEO is relocated to his ofiice?
Maybe he should fire all his Ministers and PS’s and relocate these ministries to his office because it’s clear these ministries are not doing well. I highly recommend that that we relocate NUL, LRA, LCA, Police, Army and Queen Mamohato Memorial Hospital into his office. It is evident that these institutions are not performing well. Finally, here is a man who can fix all our problems as a country!
Haeba le bona eka LEFA le hlotsoe ke tsamaiso ea bolo ea maoto, ke le kopela ofising ea Mohlomphehi Tonakholo. Ntate Qoo o tsielitse ntate Motanyane, ke kopa paramente e isoe ofising ea Mohlomphehi Tonakholo. Linyeoe li hana ho tsamaea ka makhotleng….kannete re kopa makhotla a isoe ofising ea Mohlomphehi Tonakholo.
Strong man vs strong institutions! It’s crystal clear that Prime Minister Thabane prefers weak institutions and strong Prime Minisiter!
