Soil erosion at the historic Mathebe

Image: Sebonomoea RK Ramainoane

Lesotho legislatures and ministers of government are busy fighting over real petty things, neglecting their day to day duties, the things that they are paid to do.

The pictures above, taken were taken yesterday, Wednesday at around the famous and historic Mt Mathebe, the fortress of Chief Posholi Mokhachane a brother to Moshoeshoe, the founder of the Basotho nation in the nineteenth century.

Lesotho has many government ministries charged with the responsibilities of restoring the land to its former being, when the kingdom was fully covered with grass and shrubs. They are ministries of agriculture, forestry and land reclamation, local government and chieftainship through local councils as well as ministry of tourism, culture and environment. RK.

Mr Selibe Mochoboroane, MP inspecting the carcasses of the just slaughtered animals.

Lesotho–Ha Lekoatsa: Two oxen and 13 sheep were slaughtered, Wednesday in preparation for a massive festival of song, dance, poetry, cuisine, dress, mountain bike cycling, preaching scheduled for Friday-Sunday this weekend.

Members of Makoabating Community Council met Wednesday to make final preparations and consultations for the massive feast. The first of its kind in the area.

The Member of Parliament for Thabana Morena, Mr Selibe Mochoboroane has contributed an ox; the 14 electoral divisions have each put forward a fattened sheep on top of other nutritional contributions.

The District Administrator for Mafeteng, Mr Hlalele Lets’aba, upon his visit to Ha Lekoatsa Tuesday, announced that his office shall fill in where the communities have run shorter.

He further stated that government ministries of health, home affairs, police and public safety shall be there to provide services. RK.

Sustainable provision of organic protein for the family

Lesotho—Maseru: Keeping rabbits is yet another form of ensuring the family a sustainable source of organic meat for a much needed protein for all. Also, you may sell the little ones or the grown ups. they are in high demand. The market is around you. No need to go about touting for them.

One rabbit gives birth to no less than seven little ones, which takes three months to mature. A rabbit gives birth exactly 30 days after mating. If well cared, for it could mate and breed four times in one year.

Caring for a rabbit is simple and affordable. No need to spend money of their feeds. All you need is to ensure the availability of grass and leaves, which could even be weeds from the garden.

They love carrots and green leaves, therefore peel-offs from the kitchen need not be thrown into a rubbish bin.

Moreover, they are a marvel to watch. Beautiful little creatures. Sitting around them, observing them as they eat and play around could lift the soul of the most depressed person.

You don’t need a farm to keep rabbits, the same space you need to keep a dog is sufficient for rabbit keeping.

Ona ke mokhoa o motle o ka thibelang banna le bara ba bona ho matha liphuleng ba lelekisa ‘mutlanyana o le mong, o beng o qetelle o ba qabantse, ho tsekoa hore na o tsositsoe ke ntja ea mang, oa ts’oaroa ke ea mang. RK.

The difference between God and Satan

IMG_20160904_115057God, if you serve Him truly well, He adopts you as Hisson after Jesus Christ, then, will reward you with eternal life in heaven.

As a joint heir of heaven with Jesus Christ you will after the end of times return back to life to rule with Jesus Christ you will even have authority over the angels and the 2 tribes of Israel. Great isin’t it?

Satan, if you serve him truly well, he rewards you with eternal death in a lake burning with furnace.

Remember, some of the things you would have done in his service include killing your loved ones as a sacrifice on his alter.

You would have, among others, raped your mom, your little sister or your little daughter.

You would have practiced witchcraft and any form of crime, recorded in any book.

If you love God and hate Satan: Please join me transform Lesotho into a Kingdom of God on earth, by lobbying your Member of Parliament to move a bill for the Christianization of Lesotho.

Please ask your international friends to support this movement financially and otherwise.

On going discussion on concubinage and polygamy and prostitution

It is said that having a sexual relationship with multiple partners may lead to one being infected with HIV and AIDS, is it true? The answer is not always.

It starts in the biblical days, when men, King Solomon amongst them had up to a thousand sexual partners around them and get got HIV and AIDS.

In our region, Sadc, the Swazis and their king are known to be practising polygamy, yet, we in Lesotho who are a predominantly a monogamous society are leading the world with HIV and AIDS infections.

Here at home a popular 74 years old musician, Gabriel Apollo Ntabanyane of Tau ea Mats’ekha fame has 2 wives, yet the man is as healthy as any many ten years younger than him. No signs of the infection in him and his 2 wives. Most people with the infection in this kingdom, are either bachelors and spinsters as well as couples in a monogamous marriage.

It is for this reason that, this Saturday, the third in a row, my popular radio talk-show (Pusong ea Sechaba ka Sechaba) shall again be discussing this subject, trying to get to the root bottom of whether one can really say polygamous relationship equates to multiple sexual partnership and therefore a contributor to the spread of the endemic.

The discussions are not an academic exercise, they are intended to inform the nation in a manner that the legislators may end up with a bill, legislating for the formalising of polygamy in Lesotho, in an effort to discourage concubinage and prostitution, which in most people’s view, are a direct source of HIV and AIDS. RK.
